"revealing the art inherent in nature"
Terry McDonald is an artist, author and workshop facilitator working in the medium of digital photography. As an artist, he strives to reveal the art inherent in nature, using the craft of photography to accentuate his vision of the beauty and drama before us. His photography reflects his travels, when living and working in East Africa, the UK, Germany and now, back in Canada, hiking, canoeing and nordic skiing in wilderness areas and national parks. luxBorealis means “light of the north”. Photography is Terry's way of capturing that light during moments which reveal the art of nature.
Terry's work is in private collections in Canada, the United States, Australia and the United Kingdom and has appeared in photography journal and periodicals. As well, Terry publishes private press books, monographs and folios including collections of photographs from Lake Superior, Tanzania, downtown Toronto, Ottawa and South Florida. Currently, his personal projects include the Landscapes of Wellington County, works from rural Waterloo Region and Ontario's Niagara Escarpment.
